Institute

 The Institute was founded in 1970 and stood until his retirement in April 1997 under the direction of Univ. -Prof. Peter Swoboda . During these decades were the focus of teaching and research areas of investment and financing, production management, cost accounting and operations research ( Operations Research ) . From May 1997 to August 2002 had Univ. -Prof. Gerwald Mandl assumes the role of a provisional Institute Board . From September 2002, the Institute of University Professor is . Edwin O. Fischer passed .

The focus of the teaching and research are now areas of Industrial Economics  and the financial sector. The baccalaureate program, the Institute is responsible for the compulsory investment and financing for the electives investment planning and production management . In the Master's program , the Institute works together with the Institutes of Auditing, Trust and Accounting, Controlling and Management , Banking and Finance , as well as statistics and operations research on quantitatively oriented branch Financial & Industrial management . It is responsible, jointly with the Institute of Management Accounting and Business Management for the compulsory International Finance and Accounting and an alternative to the Institute of Banking and Finance for the compulsory financial sector. As depressions in the master's program , the Institute in cooperation with practitioners following areas of the capital market research : Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management , Derivatives and Financial Engineering and Risk Management . Each of these electives consists of an introductory lecture course and , at the choice of students from a same exercise price or an internship course.

The Institute has sought an education and training for the profitable and challenging program of theory and practice to offer and hopes to the expectations of interested students to meet .
